Neighborhood Spotlight: Little Italy

Sitting right next to the Missouri river, the Little Italy neighborhood in Omaha Nebraska is home to some amazing architecture and of course food! Being walking distance to downtown will allow for the urban lifestyle, while the location, and neighborhood design will allow for many amenities not found in the downtown lofts such as a private garage, outdoor space and multi-level living and many more great amenities!

St. Francis Cabrini Church

Located on South 10th street, St. Francis Cabrini Church was formerly the cathedral of the diocese of Omaha and was named St. Philomena’s cathedral. This century old building has stood tall since 1908 with its gorgeous terracotta roof tiles and eye-catching stained glass windows you can’t miss it!

Santa Lucia Hall

Located near 7th & Pierce Streets in the heart of Omaha’s Little Italy neighborhood. It was purchased in the late 1920’s from the City of Omaha for only $1,235. The building was originally built to house several Omaha Fire Engine Companies in the early 20th Century. But today, it can be rented out to host events! They also partner with St. Francis Cabrini Church to host the Santa Lucia Festival at the beginning of June.

The Bluebarn Theatre

The BLUEBARN Theatre, located at 1106 S. 10th Street in Omaha, a nationally recognized theater that was founded in 1989. Announcing the shows that will be accompanying their 32nd season soon! Read more about the theater and check out the upcoming shows on their website.
