HGTV Smart Home 2020

The HGTV smart home has evolved throughout the years, and the 2020 smart home could be the best one yet! A gorgeous home inside and out located in in Pittsburg Pennsylvania was given away this summer by HGTV to a lucky winner who gets to enjoy an amazing new smart home. This home mixes styles and materials to create a contemporary Craftsman-style home. The over 4,500 -square-foot, three-story structure includes four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a three-car garage, a multilevel deck and plenty of shared living spaces.

The Entry

Visitors to HGTV Smart Home 2020 are greeted by eight-foot-tall, four-lite double entry doors that open to reveal an impressive two-story foyer. The Doors painted jet black to match the black window frames that stand out against the white trim. Right inside those gorgeous double entry doors sits the home’s customizable security system. This top-notch system protects the home indoors and out and gives homeowners the ability to control the system using a smartphone or computer.

Exterior

Using similar colors to Pacific Wave, the Owens Corning shingle color of the year throughout the interior and exterior of the home. The pale blue mixed with dark and light gray granules adds a sea of dimension that can achieve a relaxed, coastal vibe or a strong, stately look for a stunning home exterior.

Metal Roofing

To add more texture to the home, metal roofing sheets were used over the front porch. This metal accent adds not only to the home’s curb appeal, but it can also be more durable than some standard asphalt shingles.
